7 Homestead, PA Homestead, PA Full-time Full-time $67,000 - $70,000 a year $67,000 - $70,000 a year Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate, efficient and timely processing of a multi-state payroll and ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local requirements.
Supports park teams with all matters related to payroll and time-keeping.
Maintains compliance with federal, state and local tax laws.
Job Description Process to prepare, review, audit and submit Weekly and Bi-weekly payroll.
Maintain and ensure accuracy of payroll processing including:
hours, calculations, manual check calculations, process adjustment, reimbursement, deductions, garnishments, bonuses, refunds and voided checks.
Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll.
Track and upload tips, housing deductions, and uniform deductions.
Audit payroll processes to ensure compliance with payrolls wage and hour laws and regulations and provide recommendation for processes updates as needed to remain in compliance.
Manage fund rejections, including Voids, Stop Payments, Direct Deposit reversals, and reissue of checks.
Comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding tax filings and tax reporting.
Responsible for reviewing quarter-end and year-end reporting for payroll taxes/W2 verification/W2 reconciling to 941's and commit W2's & W2C's.
Prepare multi-state quarterly reports to ensure payroll compliance.
Process all mass seasonal terminations at the end of season.
Participate in annual merit and bonus payment activities.
Run Worker's Compensation wage statement and prepare annual worker's compensation payroll data report to insurance carrier for auditing.
Administer Leave of Absence (LOA's) for all Palace Entertainment locations in Workday.
Manage and own the Affordable Care Act (ACA) remeasurement process.
Maintain employee benefits deductions, 401k contributions, and 401k loan changes in the payroll system and prepare weekly transfer of files to MOO.
Act as subject matter expert for employee 401k and benefits questions.
Prepare Annual 401k census report and assist for auditing.
Assist with Workday Timekeeping and timeclocks, when needed.
Manage Comdata paycards account.
Manage Outstanding checks and Stale dated checks.
Implement process improvements to optimize payroll efficiencies.
Process invoices related to HR-related functions.
All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Languages:
Fluent English, a plus Skills:

Experience:
5 years' experience with a multi-state payroll department preferred Strong knowledge of HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and Absence required.
Knowledge of Workday preferred.
Advanced Excel, Strong mathematical ability, Analytical abilities and must possess excellent attention to detail.

Work closely with Accounting, HR, Benefits, and Park HR & GM.
External:
Third Party Benefits Providers, Workday support, Equifax support, Comdata Paycard, WC Insurance Carrier, Government Agencies, etc.
