Homestead, PA Homestead, PA Full-time Full-time $65,000 - $85,000 a year $65,000 - $85,000 a year The Fixed Asset Accountant is a position of high visibility within the finance discipline for Palace Entertainment.
Managing fixed assets is an important statutory function as the taxation and valuation of the company is dependent on the US GAAP capitalization guidelines.
The position will support the fixed asset accounting process across different departments and stakeholders.
Roles & Responsibilities Maintaining Fixed Asset Ledgers Maintaining records and general ledger accounts.
Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes.
Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations for fixed assets.
Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.
Responding to information requests (both internal and external).
Ensuring compliance with US GAAP capitalization rules with an understanding some decisions may create conflict with IFRS capitalization standards.
Support annual audit process with external auditors.
Serve as liaison with company Internal Audit Department.
Communicate with other stakeholders such as Construction and CEP departments.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements Education:
Bachelor's Degree - preferably in Accounting.

Experience:
Three to five years of experience working with fixed assets.
Experience working in a corporate accounting department Experience with Workday ERP is highly desirable.
